                      MONEY INSURANCE

This policy provides indemnity for loss of or damage to money (Nigerian Naira), which is defined as including cash, bank or currency notes, cheques, telephone credit cards, postal and money orders, postage stamps and luncheon vouchers within and outside the premises. If foreign currencies like Dollar, Pound sterling, Dutch mark, Guilders, Yen and Euro are to be insured they must be declared,

The money must be owned by the insured or held by them in trust or on commission or for which they are responsible, and loss or damage should occur within or outside business hours during the period of insurance.

The cover provided is on ‘All Risks’ basis, and operates whilst money is in transit or in securely locked safe or strong room or in the personal custody of some top Management staff. 

Once in a while, there are requests for hold-up or cash I drawers to be covered during office hours.
