Obaseki represents the People's Democratic Party Of Nigeria (PDP). He was born on the 1st of July, 1957 in Benin City.
He defeated Osagie Ize-Iyamu-Iyamu who represents All Progressives Congress (APC) with 307,995 votes on 223, 619 votes.
Ize-Iyamu has lost the governorship election.
