Justice Ahmed Mohammed of a federal high court in Abuja has granted the request of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to freeze the accounts of 19 individuals, and a Company, which are
1. Bolatito Racheal Oduala,
2. Chima David Ibebunjoh,
3. Mary Doose Kpengwa,
4. Saadat Temitope Bibi,
5. Bassey Victor Israel,
6. Wisdom Busaosowo Obi,
7. Nicholas Ikhalea Osazele,
8 Ebere Idibie,
9. Akintomide Lanre Yusuf,
10. Uhuo Ezenwanyi Promise,
11. Mosopefoluwa Odeseye.
12. Adegoke Pamilerin Yusif.
13. Umoh Grace Ekanem,
14. Babatunde Victor Segun,
15. Mulu Louis Teghenan,
16. Mary Oshifowora,
17. Winifred Akpevweoghene Jacob,
18. Victor Solomon,
19. Idunu A. Williams,
20. Gatefield Nigeria Limited
All these individuals and company are linked to the #EndSARS protests.
The court order, addressed to the head offices of the following banks
1. Access Bank,
2. Fidelity Bank,
3. First Bank Nigeria,
4. Guaranty Trust Bank,
5. United Bank of Africa, and
6. Zenith Bank,
The above Banks were directed to freeze forthwith all transactions on the 20 accounts on the list annexed to the CBN’s application as Exhibit A and all other bank accounts of the defendants/respondents for a period of 180 days pending the outcome of investigation and inquiry currently being conducted by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
