John used to be a secular musician until he had an encounter with Christ Jesus. He said in his polytechnic days he produced some secular songs but he cant do that anymore.
John Olumayowa said his encounter with Christ Jesus was very strong, the experience is always fresh in his memory, and he always want to keep it fresh as long as he is still on earth.
Although, John said he is not saying secular music is wrong, but he cant do it anymore, because he buried it with his past. He said as a preacher of God's word, God's interest is the first on his agenda, then other things would follow.
Olumayowa said he knows God would not approve that he sings secular songs, so he cant even bother himself asking God.
"My music is not to please myself, each of my song Carrie's a message that I've always kneel down to God to receive" said John Olumayowa.
